Pfizer has announced that it will offer a generic version of its erectile dysfunction medication Viagra Connect for patients in the United States.
In its announcement on Thursday, Pfizer said it will add a generic version of Viagra Connect called sildenafil citrate, to the list of covered drugs under its erectile dysfunction treatment.
The announcement was made after a review of more than 20,000 Pfizer documents revealed that Viagra Connect is for men with erectile dysfunction who are not satisfied with their performance with their spouses.
In the United States, Viagra Connect is available from pharmacies in the form of tablets, dissolvable gel, syringe and oral solution.
It is not currently covered by the US Food and Drug Administration’s, which requires that drugs covered by the FDA are approved.
Pfizer is in the process of acquiring the rights to the generic version of Viagra Connect under the name sildenafil citrate.
It is not currently covered by the US FDA and the European Medicines Agency has not approved it in the United Kingdom.
The erectile dysfunction medicine was discovered by researchers at the University of Manchester, who were studying the drug’s effects on blood vessels in the penis.
Researchers in the discovery of sildenafil citrate, which is sold under the name Viagra under its generic name sildenafil, were told to take the drug under the brand name erectile dysfunction medication.

The generic version of Viagra Connect will cost approximately $10 for a supply of 30 tablets, the price will not be disclosed.
Pfizer said its decision to add sildenafil citrate will be made in collaboration with GlaxoSmithKline, Mylan’s joint UK-US company, and the US-based biotech company Lupin.
Pfizer has no comment on the company’s response and will update this story with more information about the company’s decision.

But, she says, it’s important to be cautious about using the drug for any sexual activity that might have potential side effects.
“I recommend you consult with a healthcare professional before taking Viagra for sexual activity, because if you don’t see any improvement in your sex drive in the short term, it’s not safe to use it,” she says.
